chessGM keeps what it needs on your device so you can train on a plane or a bus.
What works offline
- Bots, coach mode and local games on one device.
- Puzzles: a pack of puzzles saved on the device. Your results sync when you are back online.
- The analysis board and its engine.
- This guide (the text; screenshots appear when they have been loaded once).
- Voices you downloaded.
What needs the internet
Live games against people, friends and messages, the chess.com features, opponent prep, the leaderboards, and deep reviews.
How to get ready
Open Settings, Offline. Download the puzzle pack and the voices you like on Wi-Fi. The installed app also keeps its own files.
Tip: do it once a week on Wi-Fi: open the app and the Offline settings so the puzzle pack is fresh.
