Opponent prep

Open Learn, Beat an opponent. Enter a chess.com username. chessGM studies their recent public games (and yours if you add your name), finds their strengths and weak spots, and builds a training plan to beat them. It reads chess.com’s public data API only, and chessGM is not affiliated with Chess.com.

What you get

• Their favourite openings as White and Black, and how they score.
• Typical mistakes, the phases where they struggle and their time habits.
• How their openings meet yours.
• A plan with steps: lines to study, puzzles from their typical positions and games to learn from.

Use it for

• A tournament round, a match against a friend, a club rival.
• Learning from a stronger player: study their style.
• Preparing a game on chess.com against a specific opponent.

Only public games are used. Choose which speeds to study (blitz, rapid, bullet, or all).

Tip: do not prepare more than you can remember. Two or three concrete ideas beat a list of twenty.
