Choose what may ping you: your move, challenges, messages and gentle reminders.

Notifications come with the chessGM app on Android and iPhone. Open Settings, Notifications.

Your move: in games of 15 minutes or longer, when you are away from the board.
Challenges: when someone challenges you or your game starts.
Messages and friend requests.
Review reminders: when opening lines are due and you have not played that day.
Learning tips: an occasional suggestion for what to study.

Your choices are saved even if the phone’s permission is off. If the phone blocks chessGM, allow it in the phone’s own settings and come back.

Tip: turn off learning tips and review reminders if they feel like too much. Keep Your move on for long games.

chessGM is not affiliated with Chess.com, Lichess or Stockfish; they are named only to say what the app can read or compare with.
