chessGM is free and supported by ads. Game Review is unlimited, bots are unlimited, and almost everything has no limit. A few things that cost us real server time have a free amount each day:
- Puzzle hints
- Deep reviews (depth 18, on the server)
- Direct voice calls
- Voice chat in live games
- An extra life in Puzzle Rush (no free ones, an ad gives one)
How it works
- When you reach the limit you see a short note (“Today’s free hints are used up. More free ones tomorrow.”).
- In the app you can tap Watch an ad for 1 more. After the ad you get one more, right away. The limit resets every day.
- Everyone gets the same free amount. New players have an ad-free start with no limits for a short time.
- Menu pages show a small card labelled “Ad · keeps chessGM free”. Ads never cover a board during a game.
Privacy
On iPhone the app asks permission before tracking, and works fine if you say no.
Tip: the daily limit is small on purpose: the best use is three good deep reviews a week, not ten rushed ones.
