Open your profile from More, Players or your name. It shows your rating in each category, your games, your puzzle rating and your badges. Other players see the same page.
The ratings
- Bullet, Blitz, Rapid and Classical. Chess ratings use the Glicko system. It estimates your strength and its own uncertainty (rating deviation). A rating with a question mark is provisional: the uncertainty is still high.
- Puzzle rating. Rises when you solve puzzles above your level, falls when you miss easy ones.
- Course (training) rating. What you earn by finishing courses.
- Rush best. Your best Puzzle Rush score (Puzzle Rush).
Read the numbers
- Compare yourself with yourself: last month versus this month.
- Do not compare a puzzle rating with a game rating. Puzzles are easier than games at the same number.
- Ratings in one site are not the same as another. If you connect chess.com, chessGM starts you at similar ratings.
Find players
Players lets you search by name and open anyone’s profile, add a friend or challenge them.
Tip: you set your own country flag and short bio. Be kind in your bio. Reports and blocks are in the profile menu.
